Time Out UAE Virtual Pet Show: judges’ views group 4

Five top entries so far from across the categories, from cats to hamsters

Have you entered Time Out UAE’s Virtual Pet Show yet? If not, you’d best hurry up and get submitting your cute cats, dashing dogs and gorgeous guinea pigs – as we’re in the final week of entries.

Last month we launched the Time Out UAE Virtual Pet Show, in association with The Pet Shop / dubaipetfood.com, to celebrate all the awesome animals out there.

We want you to send in your best photos and videos of your pet – and you could even win a prize from The Pet Shop.

All photos will be considered for the finals, but across the competition we’ll be sending a selection of your photos to the judges to get their thoughts. (For more about the judges, click here).

But for now here are five photos of pets you’ve sent in, and what the judges think about them. For more judges’ views, click here.

Alia owned by Sandra Alain

Category: best rescue dog

Andy Gould, The Pet Shop / dubaipetfood.com

Why the long face Alia? You know you’re a real beauty.

Nynne Hesselsoe, Kittysnip

Who said queen of the castle? Just look at the majestic Alia on her red carpet.

Lana Azad Karim, RAK Animal Welfare Centre

What a beautiful kind eyes Alia has. I can feel she’s such a loving and caring girl from this photo.

Paul Clifford, Time Out UAE

What a striking gaze Alia has, and such a glamorous bed, too. A class act, for sure.

Bogo owned Nishitha Lobo

Category: cutest pet

Andy Gould, The Pet Shop / dubaipetfood.com

Bogo knows how to stay so well that he usually has everyone around him convinced he’s a real life teddy bear.

Nynne Hesselsoe, Kittysnip

Not sure you can get any closer to cuteness overload. Just want to hug Bogo the teddy.

Lana Azad Karim, RAK Animal Welfare Centre

Is Bogo even real? I need evidence. He’s definitely one of the cutest dogs I’ve ever seen.

Paul Clifford, Time Out UAE

What animal is this? A dog? A firm winner of the ‘doggos that look like bears’ category, if we had one.

Elsa owned by Asma Alam Khan

Category: most stylish pet

Andy Gould, The Pet Shop / dubaipetfood.com

Else knows just how to pose to win your heart, and her Prince Charming.

Nynne Hesselsoe, Kittysnip

Look at her, Elsa just loves her fancy jacket and little bow. She knows shes ridiculously gorgeous.

Lana Azad Karim, RAK Animal Welfare Centre

What a stunning girl. What amazing style, she’s very cute.

Paul Clifford, Time Out UAE

A little cutie that looks like she’d wind everyone around her little finger (claw?).

Napoleon owned by Xandi Eleazar

Category: cutest pet

Andy Gould, The Pet Shop / dubaipetfood.com

Napoleon is proof that you can be small in size and still have a big, winning personality.

Nynne Hesselsoe, Kittysnip

“Don’t be mistaken by my small size. I am cute, adorable and will enchant you.”

Lana Azad Karim, RAK Animal Welfare Centre

Tiny in size, a giant on the cuteness factor.

Paul Clifford, Time Out UAE

Is this our first hamster entry? He’s an adorable little guy.

Tutti Frutti owned by Thomas Smith

Category: best rescue cat

Andy Gould, The Pet Shop / dubaipetfood.com

Tutti Frutti looks so sweet and mesmerises with her stunning eyes and luxurious coat.

Nynne Hesselsoe, Kittysnip

Tutti Frutti has such gorgeous eyes. I’m not surprised she found a forever home.

Lana Azad Karim, RAK Animal Welfare Centre

You can tell that this is one cat that loves to be pampered. I love the caramel tones in her fur.

Paul Clifford, Time Out UAE

A cat, but with a nose that looks like a dog’s snout and tongue. Remarkable.
