Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways announces temporary changes to international flight routes

Abu Dhabi International Airport will also operate all flights from Terminal 1

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has announced a number of temporary changes to flights routes to destinations round the world.

The changes are effective immediately and future changes could be announced.

For passengers facing flight cancellations, procedures are in place for refunds or for flight changes when services resume.

Passengers are asked to refrain from contacting Etihad’s customer care centre unless their flight is scheduled in the next 48 hours.

Those with future travel plans are asked to remain patient as passengers scheduled to travel in the next few days will be treated as the priority.

Here are all the routes that have been temporarily suspended:

Amman
All flights suspended from March 17 to March 31.

Barcelona
All flights suspended from March 17 to March 31.

Beirut
All flights suspended from March 16 to March 31.

Casablanca
All flights suspended from March 16 to March 31.

Chengdu
All flights suspended until further notice.

Dammam
All flights suspended from 16 March until 31 March.

Hong Kong
All flights suspended until June 30.

Istanbul
All flights suspended from March 16 to March 31.

Jeddah
All flights suspended from 16 March until 31 March.

Kuwait
All flights suspended until March 31.

Madrid
All flights suspended from March 17 to March 31.

Medina
All flights suspended from 16 March until 31 March.

Milan
All flights are suspended until April 30.

Nagoya
All flights suspended until June 30.

Rabat
All flights suspended from March 16 to March 31.

Riyadh
All flights suspended from 16 March until 31 March.

Rome
All flights suspended until April 30, some flights until June 30.

Shanghai
All flights suspended until March 28.

Here are all the temporary changes to the frequency of international flights:

Bahrain
Reduced from three-daily flights to twice-daily flights until March 31.

Bangkok
Reduced from three-times daily to twice-daily from 21 March to 02 May.

Jakarta
Reduced from twice-daily to once-daily from March 18 to June 30.

Muscat
Reduced from three-daily flights to twice-daily flights until March 31.

Seoul
Reduced from daily to four weekly flights operating on Tuedays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from march 30 to April 30.

Abu Dhabi Airport also said it would be closing Terminal 2 and operating all flights from Terminal 1. It has also released a short video letting people know what safety precautions they can expect when landing in the country.
