The UAE is known for its sky-high restaurants and bars, and now there’s one more launching right at the top of UAE’s highest mountain.
Ras Al Khaimah’s Jais Adventure Peak is set to open 1484 by Puro, located at a height 1,484 metres above sea level. Imagine the views.
Opening on Thursday October 1, the brand-new restaurant is located next to the Jais Adventure Centre, and fittingly has sky-high views of the peaks and valleys of the Hajar Mountains.
Named after the actual height of the restaurant, the venue’s interiors feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows to offer gusts the best sights of the mountains, from morning until sunset.
As for its menu, expect dishes inspired by the Arabian Gulf, made with fresh locally sourced ingredients.
Breakfast favourites include eggs benedict, traditional shakshuka and more, along with desserts including ‘S’Mores Pancakes’ topped with marshmallow cream and maple syrup, as well as the ‘Banana Boat Granola’ with yoghurt, berries, raw honey and almonds.
As for lunch and dinner, expect calamari fritti, wasabi shrimp and Korean fried chicken, fish and chips, duck confit, braised beef ribs and pan-fried sea bass.
“With the opening of 1484 by Puro at the Jebel Jais Welcome Centre, visitors can now enjoy an all-encompassing experience at the standalone destination that is the Jais Adventure Peak, home to thrilling adventure attractions such as the Jebel Jais Flight, Jais Sky Maze, and the Jais Sky Tour,” said CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding Alison Grinnell.
