Guide to Duba in Saudi Arabia

Everything you need to know about visiting this small fishing town on the Red Sea coast

Located in Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk region, Duba is a small town found along the northern coast of the Red Sea with a population of just about 22,000. Despite being one of the smaller cities in the region, its history is vast and the area is known by locals as the pearl of the Red Sea. Without a doubt, its two main attractions are the historic King Abdulaziz Fort and its stunning picturesque beaches, home to an abundance of wildlife.

The quaint seaside town is around 800 kilometres from Jeddah, and due to its location along the coastal highway of the Red Sea, it’s a popular pit-stop for those travelling to other cities along the coast. Known as a port city, Duba is also a hub for ships and ferries operating from the Tabuk province to Egypt and Jordan.

Given its petite size, many of its attractions are in walking distance, with no public transportation available.
