Flights between UAE and UK to be suspended

UAE added to the UK’s red list 

The UAE has been added to the UK’s red list from Friday January 29.

Dubai Airports has confirmed that direct flights between the UK and UAE are now temporarily suspended until further notice.

From 5pm GST (1pm GMT) on Friday January 29, passengers who have been in or transited through the UAE will no longer be granted access to the UK.

British, Irish and third country nationals with residence in the UK will be permitted entry but must self-isolate for ten days at home once arriving in the country.

British nationals in the UAE have until the deadline to travel back to the UK after which only indirect travel will be possible and quarantine must be adhered to.

Direct flights between the UAE and the UK will be suspended until further notice.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation have announced that British travellers in the UAE affected by this decision will have their visit visas extend free of charge.
