Al Hosn green pass rules eased for Abu Dhabi cruise ship passengers

Cruise passengers will be given an ID card or wristband instead

Abu Dhabi cruise ship passengers will no longer be required to show their Al Hosn green pass app to enter tourist attractions, it has been announced today.

Visitors entering Abu Dhabi will now be issued special wristbands or “cruise cards” that will grant them access to local attractions.

In a statement released on Monday, authorities said “passengers and crew arriving to Abu Dhabi via cruise ships are now exempt from Green Pass protocols to enter tourism attractions and establishments.

The announcement comes two weeks after the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee extended Al Hosn app green pass validity from 14 days to 30.

With the updated COVID-19 protocols on the Al Hosn app, users will lose their green status after 30 days and it will turn to grey. To maintain green status, users will still need a negative PCR test result received at least every 30 days.

Those who are unvaccinated will need a negative PCR test every seven days to keep a green status on the Al Hosn app.
