Jubail Island Abu Dhabi unveils stunning new art installation

The Seed has opened at Jubail Island

Earlier this month the UAE celebrated National Day with a show streamed across the UAE and the world.

Central to the event was a kinetic art piece, used to celebrate the occasion. Now it has been unveiled as an art installation on Jubail Island.

The Seed is open to the public until January 30 and was featured as part of the Seeds of the Union National Day show on December 2.

You can see the artwork up close, with daily events showcasing the piece that features the evolution of a seed to a shoot to a flower and on to propagation.

Located at a new beach area on Jubail Island, tickets are available for the show for Dhs30 per person and Dhs15 for children from seven to 17.

During the light shows, set among Jubail Island’s mangroves, you will experience a blend of music, light and art at sunset.

The site opens each day at 5pm and the show will take place continuously from 6pm until 8pm.

With safe social distancing in place a total of 400 people can attend the event at one time and all money raised from the shows will be used to fund conservation programme in the mangroves.

Refreshments will also be available from on-site food trucks.
