Plans to develop Jubail Island, located between Saadiyat Island and Yas Island, have taken a step forward.
The island, which is already home to the Jubail Mangrove Walk which opened in January this year, has awarded an infrastructure works contract to Gulf Contractors Company, GCC.
A Dhs200m deal will see the infrastructure created for the Dhs5bn development that will feature residential areas including a mix of high-end and mid-range properties, as well as retail and food and beverage outlets.
In addition, a number of outdoor areas are set to be opened including public parks, walking tracks, kayaking stations, cycling routes and water sports.
