Iris Yas Island is located in the heart of Yas Marina, and with bobbing boats, walkways lit with fairy lights, and a pretty fountain to peruse, it’s easy to see why this spot is popular for a night out. The atmosphere is romantic and picturesque, making it the perfect place for a chilled-out evening out with your mates or a fun date night.
Have a wander around the area before you go into the bar because once you sink into one of those comfy seats you won’t be looking to get up again.
The huge windows let you take in views from the outside, and during the winter it’s the perfect place to have a drink on the patio for an even better view across to the iconic W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island and its brightly coloured façade.
While the prices might be a little steeper than we’re used to in the capital, they more than make up for it in size and pretty-factor. A glass of grape is around Dhs40 to Dhs60, while a mixed drink goes for between Dhs60 and Dhs90.
The bar is a whirlwind of flaming torches, bits of fruit, and every shape and size of glass you can imagine.
And there are deals on offer too, so be sure to ask your server so you don’t miss out.
For snacks we’d recommend the crazy California roll with cucumber, crab, avocado and wasabi mayonnaise rolled into a crunchy bite for Dhs75. The burrata and olive flatbread is another craving crusher, piled with as many olives as you want, spooned out in front of you.
