Trendy nightlife spots in Abu Dhabi come and go, but some old favourites are here to stay.
Hamilton’s Gastropub is one such place – where the food, drinks and vibes are always immaculate. This bar strikes the optimal balance between classy and casual and has been a favourite of ours (and Abu Dhabi’s) for a while.
Hamilton’s is truly versatile, whether you’re here for a date or to hang out with mates, the comfy booths, elevated stools and outdoor terrace will accommodate whatever you’re after. Walk in on any evening and you’re likely to run into a crowd of regulars listening to the live music or watching the latest game.
Happy hour sweetens the deal here, with half-price drinks on from Sunday to Friday between 5pm and 7pm. There’s a wide variety featured too, with hops, grapes, all the classics and mixed drinks to choose from. They come to the table swiftly – as does the food.
The menu is massive, with sharing options, burgers, smoked meats and vegan options, too. And no matter how many times we visit to try new dishes – everything we order is hearty and tastes great.
Go for the proper truffle fries, which come loaded with Parmesan, or dive into the gooey mac ‘n’ cheese. Among the staple mains, fish and chips come with crispy hops-battered cod, thick-cut chips and mushy peas.
