We all have different requirements from our favourite watering holes. And if your need is mellow jazz with a glass of bubbly – well the clue’s in the name with this old-school lounge-bar.
Perched on the 36th floor of the Sofitel Hotel Abu Dhabi Corniche, Jazz & Fizz provides you with a wonderful vantage point from which to gaze out on to the Corniche and the hustle and bustle of Al Maryah Island.
The interiors are perhaps a little tired (although comfy enough), but really you’re here for the views, and with panoramic windows that wrap around the whole bar, there is no worry of missing the sights at this one.
All that aforementioned jazz and fizz sounding a tad pricey? Fret not. The bar serves up a daily happy hour from 6pm until 9pm where you’ll get half price house drinks, news as soothing as those blues notes being piped out.
The vibe is classy (there are no big screens here) and although it’s not the slickest in the city, with the deals it’s a decent spot for an after-work or pre-dinner drink.
