Stratos Revolving Lounge & Bar is an old favourite of ours, and it’s not hard to see why. With incredible views, vibes, and deals, whenever we’re wondering where to go for a night out, this spot always makes the shortlist.
The city’s only revolving bar offers unbeatable sights of downtown Abu Dhabi. When the sun is up you can people-watch to your heart’s content, and when the sun is down the city becomes a glittering nightscape that you could stare at forever.
We’d recommend dressing up for this one, since you might feel out of place in your sneakers. Stratos isn’t always full (except for during its Supper Club brunches – be sure to book if you’re heading here on a Friday night) but you’re pretty much guaranteed a buzzy vibe whenever you go. R&B, jazz and pop keep the mood high while the low lighting, big comfortable seats, and crisscross carpet give the impression that you’ve stepped into a zany zillionaire’s penthouse apartment.
The bar is revolving, which makes service a little slower since the servers don’t have a full view of the space, but you’ll still feel well attended to, and the views make for endless entertainment even if you’re waiting for your drink.
Prices for drinks are reasonable for such a glamorous location, and there are ladies’ and gents’ night deals plus sundowners to try, so if you plan your night right you can bag a bargain.
Looking to eat while you sip? The food menu at Stratos is definitely on the pricier side, with mains coming in between Dhs120 and Dhs390 including steaks and seafood. If you’re just there for a nibble, the starters are between Dhs65 and Dhs140 and include salad, calamari, and wagyu beef tartare.
