Louvre Abu Dhabi and other cultural sites to reopen on June 24

Strict guidlines will be in place

People in Abu Dhabi will once again be able to enjoy the city’s cultural sites such as Louvre Abu Dhabi from Wednesday June 24.

Earlier this week we told you that the capital’s cultural sites were given a series of strict guidelines to follow before reopening. You can find that list here.

The first sites to open will be Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Hosn, and the Cultural Foundation’s exhibition and Artists in Residence studio.

The outdoor areas of Al Ain Oasis, Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Jahili Fort and Al Ain Palace Museum will also open.

“Announcing the reopening of our cultural sites is a significant step in helping residents and visitors to Abu Dhabi to accelerate a return to ‘normal’ life in the emirate,” said HE Saood Al Hosani, Acting Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi.

You’ll have to book in advance for Qasr Al Hosn and Louvre Abu Dhabi through their websites, which will now be free for under 18s.

Most cultural sites will open from 10am to 7pm (and 2pm to 7pm on Fridays) with Louvre Abu Dhabi opening from 10am to 6.30pm, except on Mondays when it is closed.
