Some of Abu Dhabi’s most treasured cultural destinations are currently closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Now, some – including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Hosn and Al Ain Palace Museum – have reopened.
If you want to engage with culture but aren’t able to travel to Abu Dhabi, some of the UAE’s cultural landmarks, including Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, have launched virtual tours.
Abu Dhabi’s oldest building, Qasr Al Hosn, has launched a virtual tour for students in the UAE.
Through Zoom and Microsoft Teams, viewers will be able to enjoy a 360 tour of Qasr Al Hosn and the Cultural Foundation and learn more about the cultural significance and importance of both sites.
Students will be able to ask questions throughout the tours which are available in Arabic, English, French, Urdu and Malayalam.
“With our recorded and virtual tours, students and lifelong learners from across the emirate are able to access the unparalleled stories and treasures found in Qasr Al Hosn, our most significant landmark,” said Salama Al Shamsi, director of Qasr Al Hosn.
“I encourage all to participate and learn about the history of Abu Dhabi, all from the comfort of home.”
