New masterpieces are now on display at Louvre Abu Dhabi

See work from Monet, Van Gogh and more

Louvre Abu Dhabi is a cultural masterpiece at the heart of the UAE capital.

Beneath the dome (an architectural wonder on its own), you’ll find a collection of historical artifacts, work of art and changing exhibitions.

Never resting of its laurels, the museum is constantly changing and bringing more work to the fore and drawing us back in for another visit time and again.

Just this month Louvre Abu Dhabi has made some new acquisitions and loaned artworks from museums around the world that are now on display.

The museum has acquired four new pieces including pieces from Iraq, Egypt, India and Central Asia, dating back as far as 2,500 BCE.

In addition, pieces from Musée d’Orsay and the Bibliothèque nationale de France have lent a number of artworks to the museum.

Paintings newly on display include In The Norwegian and Haystacks, End of Summer by Claude Monet, Caravans, Gyspsy Camp near Arles by Vincent Van Gogh and Railway Bridge in Chatou by Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

More artworks by Muybridge, Bonnard, Nadar, Degas and more have also been borrowed and put on display.

We don’t know about you but we can’t wait to check them out soon.
