One of the city’s most beloved butter chicken dishes is back at Angar. This laid-back Indian restaurant at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island serves up contemporary and playful dishes, taking traditional flavours and giving them a modern twist.
The venue promises to be edgy yet playful, bringing guests on a journey along the Indian spice trail.
Chef Uttam Singh, who leads the team at Angar said, “I am thrilled to be back in action in the new and improved Angar. We are back to steal the scene with our much-loved butter chicken and funky new dishes such as masala fried chicken sliders and the boondi cheesecake.”
He continues, “Leave your expectations of an Indian restaurant at the door when you visit Angar, because we will delight and surprise you with our fresh new décor and quirky menu”.

The restaurant is open from 6pm to 11pm from Monday to Saturday, and is closed on Sundays.

The avocado chaat comes with smashed avocado, chaat masala and pomegranate seeds.
You can also go for the karare phool gobi with deep-fried cauliflower florets, red chili and coriander seeds tossed in tamarind sauce. The lamb shank rogan josh is slow-cooked for eight hours Kashmiri-style with onion gravy.
Having trouble deciding? How about the Get Them All biryani with chicken, prawn and veggies, cucumber raita and poppadum.
And for dessert? The saffron milk cake includes the Angar three-milk blend with pistachios.
