Looking for a new way to explore Abu Dhabi? Five new audio tours of the capital to help residents go off the beaten track and discover hidden gems in Abu Dhabi and beyond.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) recently launched the self-guided Abu Dhabi audio tours, and the first 25,000 downloads of the five tours are available for free on the Voicemap app. Now is the ideal time to get exploring.
The tours extend from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain and Al Dhafra. Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about our home and visitors can familarise themselves with the emirates. And hopefully everyone can discover some new spots and hidden gems in Abu Dhabi.

The initial five audio guides are: Abu Dhabi skyline tour. modern heritage tour of downtown Abu Dhabi; Al Hosn architectural tour, Al Ain nature and history tour, and the Liwa forts tour. The guides go from ancient times to the present with in-depth looks and information not available anywhere else.
Worried about data usage? Once the Voicemap app is downloaded, there’s no need for WiFi or a 3G/5G connection. You can pause and pick up the tours at your own convenience.
