A new SAL opening in Abu Dhabi on sparkling Saadiyat Island this year. Get ready for some major glamour.
Hailing from Dubai, SAL is a popular Mediterranean restaurant located at Burj Al Arab. The spot is known for its al fresco vibes and top plates. Now there’s a SAL opening in Abu Dhabi at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. The new SAL will open later this year with exact dates to be confirmed. Caterer Middle East first announced the news about SAL opening in Abu Dhabi.

Rock up to Saadiyat Jumeirah on any given day and you’re pretty well guaranteed a gorgeous view of those Saadiyat blues. In fact, there’s an argument to be made that this stunning hotel has the best view in the city. And SAL will likely be taking full advantage of the views with this second outpost.
There are loads of new foodie experiences to look forward to in the capital. International favourite Din Tai Fung is set to open in Abu Dhabi at The Galleria Al Maryah Island featuring its famous soup dumplings, meaty soups, noodles and more.
Sticky Rice is another Dubai favourite arriving in Abu Dhabi this year at Yas Mall. If the new branch is anything like the Dubai one, we’re in for a treat. We don’t have an exact opening date yet, but we hear doors will be open in early 2022. Additionally, Dubai French eatery La Serre and Flamingo Room by Tashas are set to open in Abu Dhabi soon.
We’ll be adding these new spots, along with SAL, to our must-try list as soon as they open.
