Zaya Nurai Island

Stunning, exclusive Abu Dhabi resort that’s a boat ride away

Zaya Nurai Island
Zaya Nurai Island

Cameras at the ready – this is one of the prettiest and most picturesque spots in all of the capital. It’s also one of the most exclusive – seeing as you have to get a boat here.

This place is pure luxury. A 15-minute boat ride from Saadiyat Island, this super-chic and private boutique resort takes over the whole island, with villas, a spa, restaurants and bars sprawled across the white sands and green lawns.

Check into a villa – the size depends on you, there’s everything up to six-bedroom villas – chill out and enjoy your stay.

With refreshing light blues and whites throughout the resort, the sense of wellbeing is present from the accomodation to the restaurants and the public spaces. The food is excellent here, especially at the Mexican Dusk, and Levantine seafood joint Hooked. Poolside venue Ginger Mermaid offers fresh Asian bites and the beach bar Smokin’ Pineapple serves tasty pizzas.

As you might imagine there are water sports aplenty to try, including kayaking, jet skis, stand-up paddleboarding and more. There’s also plenty for the kids if you’re travelling with the family.

For an utterly indulgent escape, this island retreat is ideal for everyone.
