With road tolls coming soon many people may be starting to consider carpooling or taking alternative modes of transport to get around the city.
The good news is that public transport is being upgraded in the city with new buses, increased frequency and new routes to connect different areas of Abu Dhabi together.
Plus with free Wi-Fi on buses there’s all the more reason to embrace public transport.
And now there are two new express bus routes to get people around the city faster.
The first route will connect Mohammed bin Zayed City and Al Zahiyah and wil operate once an hour.
Announced as part of the Year of Tolerance, the second route will connect Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station to a number of churches in Mushrif on Fridays and will operate every half hour.
We’re delighted to see public transport improving and we might just catch a bus sometime soon.
