Etihad Airways plans to resume reduced passenger flights from May

Etihad Airways’ plans subject to lifting of UAE government-imposed travel restrictions

The UAE’s Etihad Airways plans to resume a reduced network of passenger flights from May 1.

Arabian Business has reported that reduced passenger services are planned between May 1 and June 30.

In a statement, Etihad CEO Tony Douglas said the resumption of some flights is “with the aim of gradually returning to a fuller schedule as and when the global situation improves”.

The plan is subject to the government-imposed travel restrictions being lifted on passenger travel.

Etihad Airways is also continuing to operate repatriation flights to carry foreign nationals out of the UAE and carry essential cargo overseas.
