Abu Dhabi Police has announced that a new Movement Permit System is being introduced in the capital.
The permits will allow people in the city to be out and about during the National Sterilisation Programme timings which are currently 10pm to 6am every day. However, all permit holders will be allocated a time in which they are allowed movements, and any breach of this can result in a fine.

You can apply for a permit via the Abu Dhabi Police website where you will be asked to request a specific time for it to be valid for at night and wait for it to be authorised before using it.
However, Abu Dhabi Police also stated that those going out during sterilisation timings due to an urgent matter such as hospital, pharmacy, or to buy emergency basic needs will still be allowed to do so without a permit given they can present proof of reason for being out.
Similarly, the police have asked companies and organisations whose staff work during sterilisation timings to provide the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters committee with names of staff, and plate numbers of their cars in order for them to be pardoned.
The news comes right after a radar system was introduced in Abu Dhabi to identify lockdown violators. For more information on the permits, visit www.adpolice.gov.ae/ar/Pages/home.aspx.
