Where to get the rapid Dhs50 laser COVID-19 tests in Abu Dhabi

Here’s where to book in the capital

Screening and testing centres for COVID-19 have opened up across the country to test for COVID-19.

Seven new screening centres have opened this month in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.

Since June 2 there have been border restrictions in place for getting into Abu Dhabi from other emirates.

A negative COVID-19 test is required for travel into Abu Dhabi for all residents.

Residents in Abu Dhabi are permitted to travel outside of the emirate but require a negative COVID-19 test to re-enter the emirate.

Abu Dhabi residents leaving the emirate can now get a paid Dhs50 DPI laser test in Abu Dhabi before leaving the emirate that is valid for 48 hours from the result.

Facilities are available for the fast test at Zayed Sports City, Corniche and Al Hili in Al Ain.

All appointments must be booked in advance using the SEHA mobile app.

During the test a small blood sample will be taken and the laser test will be completed.

If the test, which delivers results in minutes, shows a PCR swab test is required this will be carried out immediately and the individual will have to self-isolate until the result is shared.

If the laser test is negative, residents are permitted to re-enter Abu Dhabi within 48 hours of receiving the test result by showing an SMS at the Abu Dhabi border.
