Etihad Airways will restart flights from the UAE capital to Qatar next month.
The daily service between Abu Dhabi and Doha will come into effect from Monday February 15.
Flights will leave Abu Dhabi at 1.30am on a Sunday, 9am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 8pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
In the other direction, passengers can check in for flights from Doha at 10.30am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.25pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and 3.15am on a Sunday.
Martin Drew, senior VP of global sales and cargo at Etihad Aviation Group, said: “With ties between the UAE and Qatar restored, the restarting of passenger services between the two capitals will once again support the growth of trade and tourism between the two nations.
“Adding a new destination to Etihad’s network during the COVID-19 pandemic is another step towards the gradual expansion of normal scheduled services to more cities across the airline’s global network.”
Etihad is the only airline in the world requiring 100 percent of its passengers to show a negative PCR test before departure and on arrival in Abu Dhabi.
Flyers will be required to present a negative PCR received within 96 hours prior to departure from Abu Dhabi, or from their departure airport if they are transferring from other cities via the UAE capital.
In the UAE, guests travelling to all Etihad Airways destinations can make use of a free testing service between 48 to 96 hours prior to departure at Life Medical Diagnostic Centre (Life Dx).
Travellers flying first or business class will also have the option of selecting tests at their home. The process can be booked directly with Life Dx.
Currently, only Qatari nationals, their children or spouse, and residents are allowed to enter Qatar.
Those returning to Qatar will need obtain an exceptional entry permit, and as the UAE is not on Qatar’s green list, they will need to quarantine in a hotel for a week.
