Eid Al-Fitr fireworks announced for Yas Bay Waterfront

Here comes the boom

Looking to kick off Eid Al-Fitr with a bang?

Of course you are, and Yas Island is only too happy to oblige with a series of firework displays to mark the end of Ramadan.

The first pyrotechnics showcase to be announced by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT) will see colourful sky booms brighten the capital’s sky from the first day of the holiday for three nights.

Taking place on the Yas Bay waterfront for the first time, each demonstration will explode into life at 9pm every evening.

So, how will you bag yourself the best seat to see the night sky of the capital all lit up?

With COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings in place, there will be no area for Abu Dhabians to gather and gawk in awe at the above spectacle, but the many al fresco establishments on Yas Marina will provide cracking vantage points to see, erhm, the fire crackers.

But if find yourself wanting to sit in (for some reason), the Yas Island Instagram channel will be streaming the whole event live.

Now, who has a match?
