Three new drive-through test centres opened in Abu Dhabi

All can be found in the Al Dhafra region

Three new drive-through test centres, repurposed from shipping containers, have made dock in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has opened additional centres at Liwa, Sila and Dalma in the Al Dhafra region.

The new facilities offer both nasal swabs and DPI laser-based testing, and all are open 8am through to 8pm.

Anyone in need of an appointment can book a screening via the SEHA app.

SEHA now has 24 drive-through testing sites in the UAE.

Elsewhere, two new walk-in vaccination centres have been set up to serve returning school students, teachers and admin staff in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

The dedicated centres in Mina Zayed in the capital and Al Ain Convention Centre are open daily from 8am until 8pm until Sunday October 31.

Appointments are not required, though students below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Meanwhile, the cost of a PCR test in Abu Dhabi has been fixed by authorities.

Express services, which return results within one to two hours, are being set at Dhs350, or Dhs250 for results in two to five hours.

The announcement comes on the heels of the news that only vaccinated people with green status on the Al Hosn app will be allowed to enter public spaces in Abu Dhabi from Friday August 20.
