Al Hosn app update for recently recovered COVID-19 cases

There’s a new crossed-out syringe icon on the Al Hosn app

Recently recovered from COVID-19? There has been an Al Hosn app update for recently recovered COVID-19 cases with a new symbol to know.

If you see a crossed-out syringe symbol on your Al Hosn app, it means that you have recently recovered from COVID-19 after testing positive. The symbol appears automatically and indicates that you are a recently recovered case.

People with the crossed-out syringe symbol will have green status for 30 days and do not need to do PCR tests to retain it during that time. After the first 30 days, you will need a negative PCR test every 14 days to retain green status.

If you have the crossed-out syringe symbol on the Al Hosn app you will also be exempt from vaccination requirements for 90 days. Once the 90 days are over, you can get any necessary vaccines or boosters to retain green status.

There have been loads of changes to COVID-19 restrictions, with many measures being eased across the UAE. Updates include an Al Hosn update to where you need a green pass to enter in Abu Dhabi, where you need to wear a face mask in the UAE, and new requirements for travellers coming into the UAE.
