‘The Batman’ actor Barry Keoghan will fly in for Middle East Film & Comic Con in Abu Dhabi

The Irish actor is joining the celebrity line-up in March

A new movie star, Barry Keoghan, is soaring into Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) in Abu Dhabi next month.

The Irish actor from The Batman movie is joining the 2022 MEFFC celebrity line-up. His appearance coincides with the hugely anticipated comic book film’s release on Thursday March 3 in UAE theatres.

Keoghan will come to MEFCC on Saturday March 5 and Sunday March 6, just days after the worldwide release of The Batman. In the film he plays officer Stanley Merkel in Gotham City Police Department opposite Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Besides the forthcoming Caped Crusader film, Keoghan has appeared in Christopher Nolan’s World War II epic Dunkirk, creepy psychological thriller The Killing of a Sacred Deer with Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell, the TV drama Chernobyl and medieval fantasy The Green Knight with Dev Patel.

He most recently starred in the Marvel movie Eternals as Druig alongside Richard Madden, Gemma Chan and Kumail Nanjiani.

Keoghan joins a stellar celebrity line-up for MEFCC 2022 that already includes Mandalorian actor Giancarlo Esposito, Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel, Michael Rooker from Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad, plus, Jon Bernthal from The Walking Dead and The Punisher.

The convention is the largest of its kind in the region and is taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Capes at the ready.
