Calling all photographers, art-lovers and creatives: Xposure International Photography Festival is returning to Sharjah with new exhibitions and workshops. There’s a lot going on so hold onto your hats (and camera bags).
Xposure International Photography Festival is taking place at Expo Centre Sharjah (not to be confused with Expo 2020 Dubai) from Wednesday February 9 to Tuesday February 15. This year, the festival is hosting its first-ever Conservation Summit, too.

Meet celebrated photographers
Mingle with 70 of the world’s most celebrated names in photography. Among the photographers on the roster are prominent names such as Steve McCurry, as well as homegrown talents such as Sharjah-born Majid Al Bastaki, who documents the UAE’s libraries, museums and cultural centres.

There are 45 solo and group exhibitions to see at Xposure International Photography Festival with more than 1,600 visual stories to see. Explore everything from images of wildlife and the environment to travel-based stories and the joys of everyday moments.
Learn about wildlife and environmental photography
On Thursday February 10, the festival is hosting a line-up of marine biologists, National Geographic photographers and members of the International League of Conservation Photographers. The Conservation Summit’s theme is “Saving our Oceans,” and will host a panel discussion as well as seminars, including one on whale culture.
Listen to inspiring talks
The featured photographers will discuss their creative processes, work, and the causes they serve. Looking to get inspired? Hear these stories about images that unite cultures across the world.
Take part in photography workshops
The festival will also host 26 workshops that teach everything from creative tools like focal length and framing to all aspects of shooting a personal project. In a series of in-depth focus groups, participants can engage in open-ended discussions and ask individual questions, while daily portfolio reviews that will give aspiring photographers a chance to receive professional opinions on their work.
