Global Village revamps dining options for new season

Dubai’s home-grown eateries have a chance to open at the family attraction

Global Village is gearing up for its 27th season this year, and is revamping its dining options ahead of the launch.

A search is underway to find creative restaurants, cafés and kiosks, home grown in Dubai, to set up shop at the carnival that is home to country pavilions from across the globe.

Global Village will return with its new season on Tuesday October 25, 2022.

Ahmed Khidir, senior leasing manager at Global Village, says the “foodie destination” will offer delicious options from seasoned restaurateurs, new entrants to the Dubai food scene, and even some exciting pilot concepts.

In previous editions, visitors have enjoyed food and drink from more than 200 restaurants, cafés, and street food kiosks at the multicultural carnival.

Some of these include Pakistani cuisine from the popular Bundoo Khan’s, Turkish bites from Taksim Turkish Restaurant, traditional Saudi feasts at Saudi Heritage Restaurant, authentic Bosnian dishes at Koliba, and appetising Italian food from Piero.

Instagram-worthy colourful burgers and churros have been a hit with visitors in earlier editions, as have the street food options such as steamed dumplings from Tokyo, pizza in a cone from Italy, and doner kebabs from Turkey.

The floating market with its proper plates of pad Thai, Vietnamese pho, Malaysian grills, and seafood options tossed in the most tempting Asian flavours, was another hit.

This year too, we can expect some of the most innovative bites from a city teeming with joints serving up gastronomical treats and culinary adventures.
