Sharjah Safari Park re-opening date confirmed for this week

The UAE’s largest wildlife attraction opens this week

Cooler temps are coming to Abu Dhabi which means outdoor activities are back. Hooray.

Excited to make the most of what the city has to offer? Well, animal lovers will be pleased to know that the Sharjah Safari Park re-opening date has been revealed.

Gather up the sprogs, dig out your binoculars and lock in some plans as the safari park will be welcoming visitors from this week following summer closure.

The Sharjah Safari Park re-opening date was shared via its Instagram page stating that the park will welcome visitors from Wednesday September 21.

Opening times for the Sharjah Safari Park will be from Monday to Sunday 8:30am to 6:30pm.

With three ticket choices to select from — bronze, silver and gold, there are options to suit all types of safari fans.

Wondering how many dirhams you need to fork out to enter?

Bronze walking tour tickets for kids, aged three to 12, start from Dhs15 and Dhs40 for adults.

Silver regular bus passes cost Dhs50 for children and Dhs120 for grown-ups, while top-tier gold tickets that take place inside a luxury car start from Dhs120 for kids, Dhs275 for adults.

The Al Bridi Nature Reserve spot which replicates a real African safari is a surefire way to keep the whole family entertained as it is the UAE’s largest wildlife attraction.

At around 800 hectares, the park is huge and home to more than 1000 animals and birds, with 120 species represented including giraffes, gazelles, lions, elephants, flamingos, rhinos and crocodiles. Wowzers.

It isn’t just wildlife that you can feast your eyes on at the safari park as there are over 1000 local and African trees on the whopping plot.

For those who want to tick seeing major animals off their lists then it is worth keeping your eyes peeled while at the safari park as there is the chance to catch a glimpse of a rare black rhino as well as a radiator tortoise and lesser spotted marabou stork.
