UK travel news: all restrictions lifted for vaccinated travellers

Travelling from the UAE to the UK? All COVID-19 testing measures for eligible fully vaccinated travellers will be removed for those arriving in the United Kingdom from Friday February 11.

If you are fully vaccinated and arriving in the UK, you will only be required to fill out a passenger locator form (PLF).

Arrivals who are not recognised as fully vaccinated will need to take a pre-departure test and a PCR test on or before day two after they arrive in the UK. The passenger locator form will be used to confirm vaccination status, travel history and contact details. People will also have an extra day to fill it out before travelling.

For travel into the UK, anyone under the age of 18, regardless of their individual vaccination status, will continue to be considered fully vaccinated.

Earlier this month, the UK removed pre-departure testing requirements for vaccinated travellers and anyone under the age of 18. If you are fully vaccinated, you will no longer need to do a pre-departure test to board a flight to the UK.

According to authorities, the new framework is intended to provide stability to the travel industry throughout 2022.
