Cooper’s is best known for its ladies’ nights and drinks deals, but its food offerings are also worth a second look. The dishes coming from this bar’s kitchen are some of the best examples of pub grub in the capital. Expect huge burgers and an excellent rendition of fish and chips. But there are also some much healthier options, including a refreshing range of salads and pastas. During peak hours, it can get a little smoky in the bar, but this isn’t a problem during lunchtime and early evening hours, while in the cooler months it’s possible to enjoy some al fresco dining on the terrace. If you’re just popping into Cooper’s to watch the football on one of the four giant screens, make sure you check out the bar bites menu; an order of buffalo chicken never goes amiss.
