The Abu Dhabi EDITION is the sort of place that makes you stand a little taller as soon as you enter the grand, minimalist lobby and get a whiff of that signature scent. This is one of the city’s smartest spots, but there’s no snootiness on stepping into Market at EDITION – it’s a warm welcome in store for all.
Grab a seat at the white marble counter, near the pastry counter at a table or bench, or outside to enjoy the views of Al Bateen.
Market at EDITION is suited to a lazy weekend breakfast when your stomach could use a rest from brunching, or for when you want a bite for a business breakfast. The exclusive brekkie menu caters to all, whether you’re an eggs person, are trying to start the day off right with something nutritious or want to push the boat out with one of the signatures.
Staff are on it no matter how busy it gets, and it can pick up in the later hours at this breakfast hotspot, especially on weekends.
The avocado toast here has a bit of an iconic rep, and it is justified.
Chef Tom Aiken is behind the menu and you should feel confident in trying anything from the refreshing-but-not-brain-freezing açaí bowls to grilled halloumi, to the boujie lobster and asparagus muffin, another worthy signature.
Embrace the hearty start with a croque madame, French toast or Dutch baby with pumpkin and blueberry labneh. Just don’t let all those dishes completely distract you from the strong pastry game. The counter is a hit with all ages and you’ll frequently spy people teetering away with a tray piled high (we are all for it).
Servers understand you could be in a rush and in need of a brief reprieve from a busy day, but they won’t sweep you out. Spend the morning here… And debate whether you can squeeze in another dish before lunch.
We’re yet to meet a plate here that doesn’t deserve props. Brunch, who?
