Moksh

Contemporary Indian cooking in a gorgeous setting

Moksh
Moksh

With vibrant colours, playful décor and dishes as vibrant in taste as appearance, Moksh is proving to be as much a hit for those who love to take a snap (or ten) for the ’gram as foodies.

But that’s not to discredit the food here – as it really is top-notch.

The restaurant headed by Abs Patil, threw open its glass doors before the turn of the year and promised classy and Instagrammable interiors. Imaginative Indian dishes use modern cooking techniques of gelification, spherification, smoke effect, deconstruction method, dry ice or nitrogen – so get ready for a bit of drama with your dinner.

There’s a lot to catch your eye as you meander to the table (pick that jaw off the floor, you’ll need it for all that tasty food coming your way).

To kick-off, dishes like prawn achari, burrata and tandoori murgh tikka will traditionalists happy while fusion concepts like a hara bhara Scotch egg and seekh tacos will appeal to those with a sense of adventure.

And if a little bit of razzle dazzle is what you’re looking for, plump for the crab guacamole that is made at the table. You can try and conquer it solo, but you’re best off sharing as it’s a mighty mound of avo.

For the mains, it’s tricky to look past the belly busting curry dishes of salmon tikka masala and dhabe da chicken with fluffy steamed rice. And really you don’t need to as they’re delicious. Need more inspiration? Coastal prawns, Hyderabadi lasagna and Pahadi lamb chops are particularly worthy of closer inspection.

If you still have space for dessert (somehow), round off proceedings with a moreish makta kulfi.

Bring a fully charged phone and an open mind and get ready for Moksh to do the rest.
