Don’t worry too much if you don’t quite understand why a Tiki bar has Mediterranean food menu, these things don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. If fact, once you step foot inside or on to the terrace of this place, not much will matter. The blue waters below and the views out to sea will wash all your blues away in an instant.
Service is great on the Saturday afternoon we pop in, with staff making sure we have a seat that suits us, our orders are taken quickly and when they arrive, our food and drinks are up to scratch.
There aren’t any deals on when we visit, but to be honest we’ve come at one of the only times of the week when there aren’t any offers to take advantage of.
Nonetheless, the food isn’t too pricey, but the full-price drinks are towards the expensive end of the spectrum. No matter, we take a look at the boats bobbing in the marina again and realise we’re having a good day.
Breaded calamari is a top starter, and sesame chicken strips come close. Both are cooked perfectly and taste great. Mains of a burger and fries and seafood salad also hit the spot. There’s no culinary revlolution going on here, but there is a load of food that will put smiles on people’s faces, and sometimes that’s all you need.
