Confession time. we eat a lot of burgers.
We know our brioche from our potato buns and like our patties cooked pink in the middle.
To us, a burger is a work of art, not a random medley of ingredients thrown in between bread with melted cheese on top.
When we head to Stock Burger Co. on a Sunday evening we expect the experts to serve us an excellent burger.
There aren’t many options on the menu but those that are there offer a good variety.
The Stock Burger is a standard affair. There is beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and pickles with some house sauce on top.
It ticks all the boxes for flavour and texture but the patty itself a whopper and requires minor jaw dislocation to get our chops around.
There’s also the choice to build your own burger, which we take advantage of, adding onion rings and harissa mayo to a beef patty. We enjoy every bite and congratylate ourselves for making such smart choices.
The burgers are perfectly cooked, toppings are plentiful and the buns don’t fall apart after a few bites. The fries are excellent, too.
Shrink the patties a little, add a crispy chicken burger to the menu and this place could be the ctity’s go-to joint for burger lovers.
