Cobra Fitness

You know you’re going to get some serious training at this establishment with a name like Cobra Fitness. Wannabe pugilists have two options, with a boxing fitness class to help trim down that tyre and boxing technique sessions to help you put some real venom into those fists.

Etizan Fitness

This multi-purpose gym in Erth Abu Dhabi (formerly the Armed Forces Officers’ Club) offers PT boxing sessions for those wishing to pad up for the first time. Conducted by MMA expert Sara, classes work on technique and fitness and start from Dhs225.

Perform Boxing Studio

This gym has been helping people perfect the sweet science as well as take a few numbers off the scales since 2017 with its huge array of classes. All delivered through the medium of boxing, there is agility training, circuit group sessions, weight loss programmes as well as group and one-on-one tutorials on how to throw leather. Primal gym

Anyone who enjoys a good sparring on the punch bag can tell it’s a wonderful way to get rid of unwanted stress and frustration, and you can unleash the beast with the assistance of Coach Moustfa. Classes are designed for people who have never wrapped up so don’t be afraid have a crack.

PUNCH

We think Muhammad Ali would have appreciated a shuffle in this boxing boutique studio in Zayed Sports City. PUNCH studio sees you hit with combos of flashing lights and motivational music in a slick and stylish setting. The studio offers two classes: PUNCHHIIT, a mix of boxing with high-intensity interval training and PUNCHARD, which is about your technique. And don’t forget to pick up some swish gear at the front desk because you’ve got to look good when you go to work on the bags.

Strike fitness

Boxing on the beach? Sure, why not, and at Strike Fitness, you can throw flurries of punches while taking in fresh air and the views of Al Bahar Beach. The classes involve rope skipping, shadow boxing, sandbag boxing as well as one-on-one sparring. They don’t call it Bulldog boxing for nothing here.

UFC Gym Middle East

Those not looking to take part but still want to takeover the ring can do so at this mixed martial arts joint. Obviously it has huge emphasis on MMA (it is literally called UFC Gym Middle East), but you can hone your boxing technique before stepping into the 24ft octagon (if you’re brave enough).
