Assemble, fans. The Middle East Film & Comic Con is coming in March 2022 to Abu Dhabi and tickets are now available.
The 2022 MEFCC has also shifted its dates to be in line with the new UAE weekend and working week. Now, the MEFCC event will run from Friday March 4 to Sunday March 6, 2022 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, which will line up with the Saturday and Sunday weekend across the UAE and will correspond to schools days off.

Tickets to the three-day comic and cosplay event are available now on mefcc.com and start at Dhs115 for a one-day pass. A three-day pass is Dhs280. A three-day VIP ticket is Dhs500 and includes one free meet-and-greet photograph or autograph voucher, fast-track entry into MEFCC, plus, fast-track lines in the Meet the Stars Zone and MEFCC Theatre. VIP ticket holders will also get one-hour exclusive access on Friday before doors open to all at 2pm. Super VIP tickets are Dhs2,500 each.
Going with the family? A one-day family pass with four tickets is Dhs410, saving families 10 percent. Superfan families can get the three-day family ticket for Dhs1,120, which offers a savings of 25 percent.
Nathalie Emmanuel was previously revealed as the first celebrity guest for Middle East Film & Comic Con 2022. The star of Fast & Furious and Game of Thrones will be attending the highly anticipated event in the capital, and will be participating in a meet-and-greet.
Michael Rooker, Jon Bernthal and Charles Martinet are also part of the celebrity line-up. Additionally, more international stars from the big screen and leading streaming services, including Netflix, are promised to attend. Organisers have teased the full line-up will be “announced over the coming months”.
The convention, which is supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), is the largest of its kind in the region. And Comic Con fans have not had an opportunity to cosplay since early 2020 so MEFCC 2022 will be a major reunion and a time to show off those costumes you’ve been designing.
