COYA moves its iconic Friday brunch for the new UAE weekend

The business lunch and masterclasses are moving too

COYA Abu Dhabi has announced several changes to its weekly offerings, including Friday brunch, in line with the new work week in 2022.

Earlier this month, the UAE government announced that the public sector will be following a Monday to Friday working week.

Ever since, we’ve been wondering what will happen to Friday brunch, since Friday will now be a work day for many people in the UAE in 2022.

COYA Abu Dhabi is an ever-popular destination for the city’s brunch-goers. From January, COYA will move its brunch from Friday to Saturday. The COYA Saturday brunch will go from 12.30pm to 4pm every Saturday, with packages starting at Dhs278 for soft drinks, Dhs398 for house drinks and Dhs578 for premium.

As always, guests will be able to sit inside or on the terrace with a view of the Abu Dhabi skyline. The brunch starts with fresh salads, ceviches and maki rolls, plus, tasty light bites including spicy tacos and beef ribs empanadas. You’ll also get your choice of main including Chilean sea bass rice pot, miso salmon and quinoa with ricotta cheese and pumpkin.

In the New Year, COYA Abu Dhabi will move its Fin De Semana to Friday and Sunday afternoons. The four-course foodie event will go from 2.30pm to 4pm on Fridays and 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Sundays. It costs Dhs199 per person for the food and Dhs169 per person for two hours of free-flowing beverages.

The COYA lunch menu will also fit the new four-and-a-half day working week and will serve two courses for Dhs110 per person from Monday to Friday. We’ve got our eyes locked on the Wagyu beef baos and salmon ceviche.

Business lunch will go from noon to 4.15pm from Monday to Thursday and noon to 2.30pm on Friday.

The Peruvian grape and ceviche masterclasses at COYA Abu Dhabi will become a Sunday afternoon event in 2022. After learning how to create Latin mixed drinks and three types of ceviches, you end the weekend with a three-course meal of COYA favourites. The masterclass will take place once a month on Sundays from 12.30pm to 4pm and costs Dhs330 per person.

As predicted, the city’s best brunches aren’t slowing down or stopping in the slightest with the latest update to the weekend. Saturday brunch? We like the sound of that.
