See a massive motorcycle show this weekend in Abu Dhabi

Want to see something extreme this weekend? The Sheikh Zayed Festival is launching Extreme Weekends with a series of motorcycle shows that will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Sunday January 30.

Throughout each weekend in January, you can enjoy performances by professional motorcyclists, which will take place on a special track that has been designed especially for the event, near the Emirates Fountain.

Featured motorcyclists include four world-renowned bikers, who will perform massive stunts. You can also look forward to a number of motorcross shows, where we’re told the riders will defy gravity. Vroom.

Wondering what else there is to do at the Sheikh Zayed Festival? There are loads of zones with cultural and recreational activities, including the Year of the 50th Zone, Al Forsan International Sports Resort, Funfair City, pavilions showcasing the world’s cultures and world-class folkloric, carnival and entertainment events.

The festival runs until April 1, 2022 at Al Wathbah, a suburban neighbourhood of Abu Dhabi near Bani Yas.

A central feature of the festival is the UAE Heritage District, which hosts exhibitions, events and popular markets reflecting traditional Emirati life. The World Heritage district reflects the architectural heritage, crafts, products and traditional arts of other countries. The festival also features camel races, falconry shows, a variety of competitions and fireworks.

You can expect over 4,500 international cultural events, more than 650 performances and over 130 workshops for kids.
