A number of new initiatives have been launched in Abu Dhabi to support business and individuals.
As part of the Ghadan 21 plan, 16 initiatives have been fast-tracked to provide support and enable Abu Dhabi to adapt swiftly to both current and future challenges.
Directed by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed, new initiatives include the exemption of fees for all vehicles in the Abu Dhabi road tolls until the end of 2020.
In addition, a new committee has been established to review lending options to support local companies, a 20 percent rebate on rent rates for restaurant, tourism and entertainment sectors and the tourism and municipality fees has also been suspended for the remainder of 2020.
Among the other initiatives launched, Abu Dhabi Executive Council will offer Dhs5bn in subsidies for water and electricity to residents, commercial and industrial activities and SMEs.
