The UK National Day is being celebrated on Thursday February 10 at Expo 2020 Dubai, and it promises to be a fun-filled day. Prince William will even take part in the UK National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai, as part of his first official tour of the UAE.
Each of the country pavilions at Expo has marked their respective national days with festivities and activities – but there are few that can say they have British royalty involved. Furthermore, the UK’s National Day celebrations have a full day packed with over 40 celebrations.

Wondering where to begin? Check out five top events happening at Expo 2020 Dubai for the UK’s National Day.
1. Find out about the world’s most expensive tea
It wouldn’t be a UK celebration without tea (and cake). As part of the UK National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai, there is a food and drink showcase highlighting the signature dishes of the United Kingdom. The London Tea Exchange will reveal the world’s most expensive tea. Fancy a cuppa?

2. Take a “spelfie” from space
Experience space without ever leaving the Expo grounds – and get a photo to prove it. The UK pavilion has teamed up with Spelfie, to promote STEM, and they’re encouraging all UK National Day visitors to take the out-of-this-world selfie. You’ll need to have the Spelfie app downloaded to participate.

3. See the Queen’s Baton Relay
No matter where you are at Expo, watch out for the Queen’s Baton Relay. It starts at the UK pavilion at 10.30am, and will go across the Expo 2020 Commonwealth Nation Pavilions, as part of promoting the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Keep your eyes peeled because the Duke of Cambridge will participate in the event, along with six-time Olympian Tessa Sanderson.
From 10.30am, UK Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai.
4. Enjoy a concert at Al Wasl Plaza
You can’t have a proper celebration at Expo without music. For the UK National Day festivities, there will be a “UK in 360” projection at Al Wasl Dome. It will be accompanied by performances from “Love Me Again” singer John Newman, pianist/vocalist Tom Seals and from the Band of the Coldstream Guards, the oldest continuously serving regiment in the British Army, who are known for their ceremonial duties.
7.45pm-8.15pm, Al Wasl Plaza, Expo 2020 Dubai.
5. Celebrate UK National Day with an eclectic DJ set
After more jams? How about Jamz? Head over to the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre where DJ Jamz Supernova will be spinning global beats into the night.
