8 things to do at Dubai’s Museum of the Future

Tomorrow Today

Discover transformative technologies on the brink of changing the world. The ‘Tomorrow Today’ exhibition will be ever evolving as we learn, discover and continue to create more helpful technologies. Explore how technology will shape all aspects of our future; from environmental issues, to human health and wellness, in addition to cultural and social issues. This exhibition is set to be one of the most interesting, particularly as digital and technology in general begin to play a more significant part of day-to-day life.

Journey to the Future

In the Journey to the Future exhibition, visitors will be able to virtually make the voyage to a space station, 600km above earth and become an astronaut. Become a space explorer, learning and experiencing the work done by astronauts way above the Earth. Witness how the moon could be harnessed for the development and creation of renewable energy.

Digital Amazon

Go where very few humans have gone before and discover the depths of the Amazon rainforest with a mixed-reality re-creation. You’ll be able to observe hundreds of species of animals and insects that are usually invisible to the naked eye.

The Vault of Life

The Vault of Life is a DNA library. Here, the wonders of nature and thousands of species are studied. Learn how you can participate and repair the damages of climate change.

The Future of Wellness

Visitors to this exhibition will escape digital life where they can reconnect with mind, body and spirit while taking time to disconnect from the digital world.

The Centre

Immerse yourself in The Centre; discover the healing and restorative nature of movement, meditation and water. Take a moment underneath the dome of light and water, which mimics the surface of the water from below and reset. The Centre is a multisensory exhibition with the aim to rebalance and restore life’s natural rhythms.

Future Heroes

This exhibition is dedicated space to the heroes of the future – children. Encouraging exploration and play, children will discover a fantasy world that is focused on future skills. In the Future Heroes exhibit, children will be asked to participate in ‘missions’ which will encourage them to work together to achieve a shared goal. Interestingly, the aim of this exhibition is to encourage a screen-free area of play and discovery. Qualities such as thinking, problem solving, working with others, courage and confidence are encouraged and rewarded. Once a mission is complete, participants will be awarded a special badge. Badges can be collected and saved at each visit.

Talks and discussion panels

With the aim to bring visitors on a more than just a museum experience, the Museum of the Future will host a series of talks to encourage active resolution to some of the world’s current problems, the exploration of space and deep sea, as well as areas such as online currencies. Visitors will be able to join a series of discussions and events with leading industry visionaries such as innovators and scientists, where there will be open dialogue on their visions of the future.
