UAE COVID update: Al Hosn green status: hands showing green pass on mobile phones

Abu Dhabi extends Al Hosn green pass validity

A negative PCR test previously got green status for 14 days

Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has extended Al Hosn app green pass validity. From Wednesday, September 28, a negative PCR test on the app will get green status for 30 days.

With the updated COVID-19 protocols on the Al Hosn app, users will lose their green status after the 30 days and it will turn to grey. To maintain green status, users will still need a negative PCR test result received at least every 30 days.

Those who are unvaccinated will need a negative PCR test every seven days to keep a green status on Al Hosn app.

Having a green pass on the Al Hosn app is still required to enter public places in Abu Dhabi, including shopping malls, exhibitions and restaurants.

Prior to the update, green pass validity was set at 14 days.

Wondering about face masks? According to the most recent Abu Dhabi COVID update, mask wearing “is optional for all other open and closed facilities and places.” Masks are recommended for the elderly, vulnerable and people of determination, and are still required in mosques, hospitals, medical facilities and public transportation.

All food service providers, as well as those who have COVID-19 and symptoms, will be required to wear a mask at all times.
