Life can be tough at the best of times and in recent months it’s never been more important to take care of your health, both mental and physical.
The UAE has even recently launched a mental health hotline to help support residents who are finding it difficult in these uncertain times.
Helping to get the conversation going and share positive stories, a new event is set to put a smile on faces and discuss mental health.
Mental health organisation Darkness into Light and local comedy group Yalla Laughs have teamed up to launch Stand Up for Mental Health.
The livestreaming event will see three locally-based comics join hosts Sarah Lorey counselling psychologist Laura Brennan for adiscussion on mental health.
Comics participating in the event include Erik Thronquist, Khaloud Abdulla and the UAE’s own Abdulla Qassab.
The event is free to watch and will be streamed on the Darkness Into Light Abu Dhabi and Yalla Laughs Comedy Facebook pages on Thursday May 28 at 7.30pm.
