Abu Dhabi residents can leave the emirate without a permit despite travel ban

A permit must be granted for re-entry

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee recently announced another extension to the travel ban in and out of the UAE capital.

Now, Abu Dhabi residents have been given updated guidelines on movement in and around the emirate.

Residents of Abu Dhabi are permitted to leave the emirate without gaining a permit but will need to apply for one to reenter.

Those wishing to return to the UAE capital will have to gain a permit from Abu Dhabi Police by clicking here.

Upon re-entry travelers will be subject to ‘precautionary health measures’.

Travelling to different regions on Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain is also allowed but those travelling must obtain a permit before doing so.

Anyone from outside of Abu Dhabi who wishes to enter the emirate must also apply for a permit.
