Last week it was announced that movement in and out of the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as between regions, would be restricted for seven days.
Effective Tuesday June 9, the restrictions have been extended for a further seven days.

Exemptions are permitted by special permit for employees, those working in vital sectors, chronic disease patients visiting hospitals and the transportation of vital goods.
Those exempt from restrictions must apply for permission to travel and those travelling from Abu Dhabi Airport are also exempt from travel restrictions.
Permits are issued by Abu Dhabi Police and those eligible to travel can apply by visiting https://es.adpolice.gov.ae/trafficservices/publicservices/movepermit.aspx?Culture=en.
Residents are permitted to move within their region between the hours of 6am and 10pm in compliance with the hours of the National Sterilisation Programme.
The measures have been announced to enhance the effectiveness of the National Sterilisation Programme in the emirate.
Recently the timings of the National Sterilisation Programme in Abu Dhabi have also changed to 10pm to 6am each day.
The new restrictions aim to reduce contact and stop the spread of COVID-19.
