La Salle

An intimate 42-seat spot showcasing Provençal cuisine on the shores of Saadiyat Beach Club

Shimmering sand, swaying palms trees and a dimly restaurant that seems like it is just open for you. If you’re after a spot that will leave you and your dining companions wowed, La Salle in Saadiyat Beach Club is a solid choice.

Arrive early before your reservation because even though the restaurant’s blue doors are just a short stroll from the main building, it’s easy to get swept away by the endless views of Saadiyat Beach and the fountains.

If you’re here during the day, you’ll still have plenty to look at inside the airy space thanks to the large windows.

At night, the candle lighting will make it feel like you have the space all to yourself. Unobtrusive staff add to the cosy mood, and after appearing to refill a glass or bring a light to view the menu, they seem to float away into the darkness. (It really is that dark.)

La Salle describes itself as a showcase of Provençal cuisine, and the licensed eatery offers lighter fare including raw options, salads and soups along with heartier mains from land and sea that work to share.

The beauty is also in the details with the eatery showing its interest in the arts in everything from the tableware to the logo-topped butter to the dried sprig of lavender in each napkin. Thoughtful presentation continues through each course and every beverage. Le Risotto Acquarello is a real standout, with its pecorino foam, fresh truffle shavings and vibrant peas.

La Salle translates to room, and this is one you won’t want to leave, especially when there’s more fondant au chocolat to be had.
