Schools in Abu Dhabi will reopen with physical attendance at the end of the summer.
The Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) announced that students will return to class for the first term of the new academic year.

Schools were conducting remote learning before the summer break, with teachers and students staying away from the schools.
Students from KG1 to Grade 5/Year 6 will return in person to school from the first day of term.
All other grades and years will return in-person to school four weeks into the new term.
Staggering the students’ return will allow schools to monitor and evaluate their safety procedures.
Remote learning will be offered to students for the first term, however students and parents will have to co-ordinate with schools to arrange before the start of term.
Schools will operate on five different reopening models balancing in-classroom and online learning options whilst adhering to strict safety guidelines.
They include full face-to-face learning, half-day face-to-face learning, alternating days, alternating weeks and a hybrid model.
At the start of the academic year all teachers and staff are required to get a COVID-19 test, as are students over the age of 12.
ADEK will all visit all private schools to ensure sanitisation and safety procedures are being adhered to.
